I had something a little weird happen earlier

Earlier today, I went down the hall to the restroom.  I was kind of scooting along, not paying attention.  When I got into the stall, my hanging headphones clanked up against the metal dispenser.  I had built-up static and I created a shock going through the headphones up to my ears, which was where the buds were.  Afterwards, I was thinking of static and I suddenly had a vision of me rubbing balloons against carpet and sticking them to the wall.  I think that I did that when I was about 5 and my sisters and I had gone to my father’s for the weekend.  Interesting that I thought of that.  I rarely remember all of the parts of that trip.  The pictures that he took of us were about the most that I usually remember.  Lisa didn’t remember them at all when Gwen gave her a copy of them.  When I she brought them to Thanksgiving dinner a few years ago, she was surprised that I remembered them.  My mother was very surprised about them, since she knew nothing of them as well.  So of course, that became a Xmas present to her that year lol.

Thanks ….

me again

My OCD is going to be the death of me.  Obsessing about things to the point of ridiculousness.  My lips are a mess, not because they are always chapped, but because I always rip the chapped skin off; I cannot stand the look and feel of chapped lips, yet I never remember to keep lip balm on them.  And it irritates me if I don’t clear as much of the dry skin off as I can.  I will waste precious moments peeling off dry skin so that none remains, so that my lips look smooth.  I can’t even stand the thought of kissing someone when my lips are dry, I’m so sure that they would notice.  Yuk.

My face is just as bad.  Zits cannot stay on my face.  I’ll be sitting at my desk, trying to nonchalantly pop a zit that is still buried too far underneath the skin to come out, but no matter, I will get it out, because I can’t stand for it to be there.  It looks like I have freckles all over my cheeks and chin from years of scratching at my face.

And the list goes on and on …

Thanks ….

Everything that you said might possibly be correct.  Possibly.  I like Tune-up because it has so far been able to do what numerous other packages have not been able to do: get my home pc to process faster.  My home pc had become as slow as my work one had.  Yes, I am quite good at killing pc’s.  I am trying to utilize what is already on the machine.  I gave up using EverNote in place of OneNote, even though I consider the former far superior.

I was merely looking out for the well-being of my new pc, nothing more.

Sometimes I wonder if you don’t go looking for solutions more than is really required.  Sure, sometimes the tools may not be the best, but they come bundled with the system, won’t cost anything, and (generally) Microsoft tries to make sure their utilities aren’t resource-hogs which may not be the case.  Just a thought.

So… you are going to add unapproved software to your new workstation to monitor its performance?  You do know that XP/Vista comes with a hard drive defrag utility, etc…?

I have finally gotten a new, and much faster, PC.  Hopefully I won’t kill/overload it too quickly.  I have lost soooo much time over the last few weeks because my old machine was just too stuffed and could not even process at a decent speed anymore.  I’m going to run the Tune-Up Utilities that I came across quite frequently, to make sure that the HD stays in sufficient shape.

I don’t want to bet that I’ll have killed this one within a year, however I know myself all too well ….

Thanks ….
